Missouri Chestnut Roast-University of Missouri Agroforestry

The Missouri Chestnut Roast, held annually in October during the chestnut harvest season, has become one of mid-Missouri's premier family-oriented events. Thousands of Missouri Chestnut Roast visitors each year enjoy samples of sweet, Missouri-grown roasted chestnuts, along with a variety of products featuring Missouri-grown black walnuts and pecans

This year the Missouri Chestnut Roast will be held on Saturday, October 16 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the MU Horticulture and Agroforestry Research Center in New Franklin, Missouri.

Missouri Tigers vs Oklahoma Sooners

Missouri Univeristy Tigers welcome the Oklahoma Sooners football team to Columbia for M.U.'s 99th Homecoming weekend.

On October 23rd, its time to 'Come home to MU' for this one of a kind city wide weekend party. Mizzou Alumni come from all over the country for this weekend and help support the Tigers as they take the field.

Citizen Jane Film Festival Columbia Missouri

The Citizen Jane Film Festival was created to spotlight and celebrate films made by women. The Citizen Jane Film Festival grew out of a collaboration with Stephens College, a 175-year old women’s college (the second oldest in the nation) with a growing film and media program and is in it third year.

This year filmmakers and film lovers from around the world converge upon the small Midwestern town of Columbia, Missouri the weekend of October 15-17 to celebrate films made by women, engage in lively discussions, attend one-of-a-kind parties and experience what many attendies (both male and female alike) consider to be the most intimate and interesting festival in the country.

Big 12 Football Mizzou vs. the Colorado Buffaloes

'A bed and breakfast...What's that?' you ask. Allow me to share it with you.

Wikipedia's version:
'A bed and breakfast (or B&B) is a small lodging establishment that offers overnight accommodation and breakfast, but usually does not offer other meals. Typically, bed and breakfasts are private homes with fewer than 10 bedrooms available for commercial use.'

Yep! That pretty much sums it up. Our Columbia Missouri Bed and Breakfast is our private home, we have 4 guest rooms on the second floor that are available and we serve a full & hearty breakfast in the morning. We also have WiFi, off street parking lot, a living room, front porch and back deck with a covered outdoor table and outdoor fireplace that are there for our guests enjoyment. Oh, and even though it is our private home; No, we do not have a 'guest curfew'. Each guest is given a set of keys one of which is a key to let themselves into our home so they can come and go as they please.
Of course not all B&B's are the same. But the definition by Wiki is pretty standard for our industry.
